On the morning of April 20, the Arab-China Braodcasting Industry Forum was successfully held at the Shougang Convention and Exhibition Centre in Beijing. The forum was guided by the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration of Radio and Television (SARFT) and co-organized by the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau and the Academy of Radio and Television Sciences of SARFT.
The forum is one of the key contents of the "One Belt, One Road" audiovisual industry exchange activities, aiming to deepen the audiovisual cooperation between China and Arab countries and actively promote cultural and scientific exchanges.
Yang Wei, Director of China-Arab TV, introduced the cooperation framework of China-Arab audiovisual industry with the topic "The time is right for China-Arab audiovisual industry exchange and cooperation". In the face of the limited scale of Sino-Arab cooperation in the audiovisual industry, the low level of branding and commercialisation, it is necessary to overcome the cultural, commercial and linguistic barriers to the development of Sino-Arab cooperation in the audiovisual industry through deepening cultural exchanges, integrating resource cooperation and precise and deep ploughing.
Wang Zhaonan, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of IQiyi, introduced the experience and in-depth thinking accumulated by IQiyi 's audiovisual platform in content creation and operation strategies, pointing out that it is necessary to produce and broadcast excellent audiovisual content rooted in the excellent traditional culture of the nation, that literary and artistic creation should resonate with the times, find a niche in differences, create a video platform with Asian content as its core and adhere to The localization of the operation strategy.
Speaking on the development of the digital economy from the industry's development history, Han Xing, Director of Overseas Public Affairs of Kuaishou, pointed out that short videos have huge and diversified development potential and have a unique affinity to young groups at home and abroad, increasingly becoming an important source for them to get news, search for information and buy goods.
