On April 10, 2024, the China Arab Video Competition was officially launched on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, an important holiday in Arab countries. The contest will be co-organized by China-Arab TV in Dubai, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Media Group, Saudi Arabia's Orient TV, Lebanon's National TV, and Egypt's Nile TV. Under the theme of "Toward a Prosperous Future", the competition will invite original short video works from Chinese and Arab youth.

Entry Requirements

The main body of the competition can be an individual or a group. For individual entries, the nationality of the entrant must be China or an Arab country; for group entries, the number of team members should not be more than 6.

1. Theme of the works

Focusing on the themes of "40th anniversary of China-Arab diplomatic relations", "China-Arab cultural exchanges", "China-Arab economic and trade cooperation", and any other themes such as culture, tourism, food, science and technology.

2. Number of works

Each participant should submit no more than two works, and the content should not be repeated;

3. Genre of works

There is no limitation on the genre of the works: micro-documentary, interview, talk show, Vlog, MV, talent show, animation and cartoon are all acceptable.

4. Technical requirements

A. The resolution should not be lower than 720p, and it is recommended to be 1080p and above.

B. The screen is recommended to be horizontal screen 16:9 mode.

C. Duration within 1-10 minutes.

D. No more than 200M, in HD MP4, MOV, MPEG4 format, etc.

E. Entries must be accompanied by subtitles.

F. Audio and sound must be clear and full, no noise, accurate sound and picture alignment.

Prizes

There will be 1 grand prize, 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 20 awards. There will also be individual awards: 1 Best Creativity Award, 1 Best Photography Award, 1 Best Editing Award, 1 Best Visual Effect; 3 Outstanding Team Awards, and several Outstanding Organization Awards.

Entry Methods

1. Direct submission of works

Download and fill in the application form, send the application form and the video files of the works by email, Filemail download link, Google drive download link, etc. to cavc@catv.ae.

The title of the email should indicate "3rdCAVC" + the name of the participant.

2.Self-media account uploading

Uploading short videos on any social media platforms, including but not limited to Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Tiktok, YouTube, etc., adding the hashtag "#3rdCAVC", or @China-Arabia TV official account, and @three of your friends will be considered as an entry!
