Brief introduction

Every Chinese meets the poet LI Bai in his or her life somehow. Li Bai, a poet from Sichuan, China, also belongs to the world. He is a part of Chinese history who also has great influence on China today. After 3-years of filming, the documentary "Li Bai" comes into being with unique perspectives of views realized by innovated filming technologies, focusing on Li Bai's lifetime and all the important moments of his life, as well as his poetry achievement. Through the perspective as ‘an ordinary person who struggled to move up’, the audiences would understand Li Bai, and feel the emotions in his poems, which can be inspiring even today. The documentary was filmed in many countries including China, Japan, UK, etc. In China, the film crew travelled across 8 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Hubei,etc. By checking massive historical data, combining with the latest research results, and many experts and scholars in the field for interpretation, the documentary breaks time and space limitations, explores the historical value of Chinese traditional culture through an international perspective, and unveils the profound influence of the great poet in world culture.
