After three editions, Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF), as a new wave, has been striving to seek breakthroughs, and constantly upward to give off its unique charm and vitality. The Hainan Island International Film Festival would like to sincerely invite you to embrace the azure sky and breathe the freshness of the sea with us.

The Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIFF) is directed by the National Radio and Television Administration and co-sponsored by the China Media Group (CCTV) and the People's Government of Hainan Province, and is dedicated to strengthening international cultural exchanges and cooperation in film, promoting the development of film industry, and fostering the prosperity of film creation. As a new cultural brand of Hainan Special Economic Zone, the Hainan Island International Film Festival is dedicated to building a film festival that is professional, popular and international.

The 4th Hainan Island International Film Festival is scheduled to be held in early December 2022 and is now open to the world for films.

The call for films will run from July 21, 2022 to September 26, 2022.

Requirements

1. Feature films, animated feature films and documentary feature films produced after August 15, 2021, with a minimum length of 70 minutes, and which have not been registered in any version for the Festival.

2. Short films produced after August 15, 2021, with a running time of not less than 20 minutes, and which have not been submitted to the Festival in any version.

3. The screening specifications must be in accordance with the DCP (Digital Cinema Package) of the Commercial Screening Standard.

*The organizing committee will give priority to films that have their China premiere at the Hainan Island International Film Festival.
