2023 Audio-Visual China – Hubei Media Week Grand Opening in New York

The afternoon of December 13, local time, the State Administration of Radio and Television of China, Hubei Provincial Radio and Television Bureau co-sponsored the 2023 Audio-Visual China – Hubei Media Week in America & Canada opening ceremony and a series of activities held in New York.

 

At the opening ceremony, Hubei broadcasting, film and television, publishing and media, cultural trade enterprises and local enterprises in New York and Toronto, respectively, around 12 cooperation projects focused on signing, and jointly promote win-win cooperation between the two sides. The opening ceremony also held a large series of books, "Jingchu Literature Library" and "Jingchu Literature" donation ceremony, "Jingchu bookshelf" landing ceremony, as well as "Jing Cai new vision" TV program launch ceremony.

 

Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York Huang Ping pointed out in his speech, "Hubei Media Week" not only highlights the achievements of the cultural media industry in Hubei Province, but also helps to deepen the mutual understanding of the people of China and the United States, is the implementation of the consensus of the San Francisco meeting of the heads of state of the two countries, an important practice.

 

On the 13th "Hubei Media Week" activities, guests also visited the Hubei Media Exhibition. A total of five exhibition areas were set up, including Hubei newspapers, broadcasting and television, publishing, film and animation, local culture, etc., displaying all kinds of broadcasting and television equipment, film and animation and derivatives, books, non-heritage and other cultural and creative exhibits totaling 5353 pieces.

 

The morning of December 14, "Hubei Media Week" in Flushing, New York, held "Jingchu bookshelf" landing Flushing Public Library activities. Xiao Guanglu said, Jingchu culture is an important part of Chinese culture, with distinctive regional characteristics and great economic and cultural development value. "Flushing is the largest Chinese community in North America," he added, "I believe that Jingchu books will play an active role in meeting the needs of local readers to improve their Chinese language skills and enrich their Chinese culture."
