On the occasion of the 8th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival "Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival"**

Call for Projects:

The International Documentary Film Festival "Golden Tree" is pleased to announce a call for documentary film projects for its 8th edition, which will take place in Paris on November 7, 8, and 9, 2004. This call for projects is a unique opportunity for documentary filmmakers and producers to present their projects to an international audience of industry professionals.

Key Dates:

- Launch of the call for projects: August 15, 2024

- Deadline for submissions: September 15, 2024

- Announcement of selected projects: End of September 2024

Participation Conditions:

1. Eligibility:

- The call for projects is open to all documentary filmmakers and producers, regardless of nationality.

- Projects must be in the development or pre-production phase.

2. Registration:

- Registrations will be open from August 15 to September 15, 2024.

- Applicants must submit their project via the online registration form available on the festival's website.

3. Application Dossier:

- A detailed synopsis of the project (maximum 500 words).

- A complete treatment or script.

- A provisional budget.

- A financing plan.

- A biography of the director and/or producer.

- A link to a teaser or trailer (if available).

4. Project Selection:

- A selection committee will review all projects submitted to this call for projects.

- The selected projects will be announced at the end of September 2024.

5. Financial Contributions:

- A selection committee composed of five professionals from different countries will eventually select the three best proposal awards at the Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival。

- The first-place project will receive 3,000 euros.

- The second-place project will receive 2,000 euros.

- The third-place project will receive 1,000 euros.

6. Project Presentation:

- The holders of the selected projects, including the three best projects, will have the opportunity to present their projects at the documentary film market, which will take place in Paris on November 7, 8, and 9, 2024.

- The presentations will be in the form of pitching sessions and direct meetings with a large number of buyers, producers, distributors, television channels, and platforms invited by the festival's organizing committee for this occasion.

7. Participant Commitments:

- Selected participants must be present in Paris on November 7, 8, and 9, 2004, to present their project.

- The festival's organizing committee will cover all accommodation and catering expenses for the holders of the selected documentary film projects, but not the travel expenses to Paris. Indeed, travel expenses are exclusively the responsibility of the holders of the projects selected by the eligibility and selection committee.This regulation for the aircraft economy class, train second-class seats, each award proposal reimbursement at most two people travel expenses

- Participants must provide all necessary materials for the presentation of their project (teasers, posters, etc.).

- Participants must adhere to the schedules and presentation modalities defined by the organizing committee.

8. Rights and Obligations:

- Participants retain all rights to their projects.

- The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival reserves the right to use excerpts from the selected projects for promotional purposes.

- Participants agree that their contact information may be shared with the professionals invited to the documentary film market.
