This year is the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, and in order to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries, China Pavilion at the Tokyo International Film 2022 held the China-Japan Co-production Forum and the launch ceremony of the "Global Development, Audiovisual Sharing" show season in Japan.

The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFFCOM) is one of the most important film and TV exchange platforms in Asia, with 313 national/regional group exhibitors, 2,536 business meetings and over RMB 211 million in on-site sales in 2021. Due to the impact of the epidemic, it was held online in 2022. The Shanghai Radio, Film and Television Production Industry Association took the lead in organizing 32 well-known domestic film and television organizations to exhibit in the form of a joint Chinese booth (China Pavilion), promoting content types covering film and TV dramas, documentaries, animation, columns, Internet, distribution, post-production, meta-universe and so on.

During this year's festival, 24 outstanding Chinese audiovisual works, such as "Chao Yue", "Love Actually", "Our Glamorous Time", etc., will land on Japanese satellite theater, Galaxy Channel, BS11 and other TV media and new media platforms one after another, so that Japanese audiences can have a deeper understanding of China's past, present and future.

Professional exchanges between film and television practitioners from both sides are an important part of the series of activities at the China Pavilion. With the theme of "Cooperation, Development, Future", the China-Japanese Co-production Forum will allow the Chinese and Japanese audiovisual industries to discuss film and television exchanges and cooperation, especially co-productions.
