On December 28, the first Joint Media Conference of the Lancang: Mekong Countries, organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration of Radio and Television of China and hosted by Guangxi Radio and Television of China, was held by video link in Nanning, Guangxi, China.

This year marks the 6th anniversary of the Lancang: Mekong Cooperation. With the joint efforts of the six Mekong countries, Lancang: Mekong Cooperation has become the most dynamic and promising sub-regional cooperation mechanism. In order to strengthen the interconnection, mutual learning and deepen practical cooperation among the media of the Mekong countries, the media of the Mekong countries expressed their views on the theme of "Media Interconnection and Innovative Cooperation", discussing how to strengthen innovative cooperation in the era of media interconnection, and further vividly tell the wonderful stories of exchange and mutual understanding and cooperation and development of the Mekong countries, so as to promote people-to-people communication among the Mekong countries.
