The excavation of newly found sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui(Sichuan, China) shocks the world again. The archaeological documentary Treasures of Ancient Shu, planned and produced by Sichuan Radio and Television, consists of three episodes, 39 minutes each. It focuses on the great archaeological discoveries of mankind in the 20th century -- Sanxingdui, Jinsha and Baudun sites, explores the origin of the Land of Abundance(Sichuan Province of China) from numerous mysteries solved, and explores the cultural core of the ancient Shu people. With the latest science and technology research results and from the latest archaeological academic point of view, each episode tells stories between a number of experts and the archaeological excavations of cultural relics, that build up a picture of Sanxingdui culture, the structure of the ancient Shu civilization, the foreign exchange for mutual learning, the deep spirit and value concept of the ancient Shu people. The film crew interviewed more than 60 domestic well-known experts, using HD recording to uncover the origin of ancient Shu civilization.
