In this animation series, a little carp named Paopao is forced to leave his home in an effort to find dragon scales, a tool with supernatural power capable of protecting his beloved homeland. He meets a number of good friends in his journey, including a timid double-faced turtle, a proud sea horse and a pretty jellyfish. The poisonous snake tries numerous attempts to kill Paopao and his friends. The determined Paopao and his friends complete the arduous journeys, overcome all sorts of temptations and succeed in collecting all the five magic dragon scales, with elements from gold, wood, water, fire and earth. With these magic dragon scales, Paopao and his friends fly over the dragon gate, defeating the poisonous snake and bringing back the peace and beauty of the carp lake.
