《摸的着月亮的地方》这一纪录片名称，来源于一首裕固族的歌曲，绮丽而充满幻想就像裕固族的历史一样充满猜想扑朔迷离。 《摸的着月亮的地方》以乡村振兴为主题，以壮美的自然风貌为背景，以丰富的人物故事为串联的的大型二集人文生态类纪录片。 上集《回响》由于裕固族文字在迁徙途中遗失，仅仅保留了语音。歌手薛峰在肃南不同地点寻找老一辈裕固族人，收集裕固族民歌。易祖才作为红军后代，同艾长明一起做好红军食堂，一同感知掩藏在时间深处的峥嵘岁月。 下集《足迹》“逐草而牧”的古老传统延续千年，成为牧民们恒久信奉的生存智慧。这种文化形态是游牧民族的部落、帐圈及共同生活区域的民族创造的文化形态。剪纸，是裕固族衣钵相传的纹样承载。方寸纸张，可以窥见裕固族古老的纹样记忆和民族文化信息。 裕固族文化也在衣钵相传的纹样承载中，在家与家之间，裕固族人踩踏着牧道，追求着幸福的生活。
