Tokyo International Film Festival (T.I.F.F) is one of the 9 major A-type competition international film festivals in the world. Hosted by Tokyo International Film Culture Promotion Association. It is recognized by the International Film Festival Alliance, is the largest film festival in Asia, and is the same as the Cannes International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and other famous film festivals. It is also the only one in Japan that is recognized by the International Film Producers Association. Class A competition-type international film festival activities. Held for the first time in 1985, it was initially held every two years, and since 1992 it has been held annually. It is scheduled to be held from late October to early November every year. The Tokyo International Film Festival is dedicated to discovering excellent Asian and international films and providing a broader display platform for young filmmakers. The festival also set up a new competition unit "Asian Future" in 2013, aiming to tap new Asian film talents.
