The Great Waves

The Great Waves is a TV series produced by Hangzhou Jiaping Pictures., directed by Jiana Shahati and written by Liu Xin. The TV series feature an ensemble cast including: Bao Jianfeng, Chen taisheng and Hai Qing. The series are telling the history of China through the perspective of a college student named Chen Qihang. From the May 4th movement of 1919 to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of 1945, during these 26 years, members of the CPC struggled and strove for saving their people and the country. The TV series presents Mao and other members of the CPC who bravely confronted danger and made vigorous efforts through long and hard struggles, perfectly portraying the great spirit of the CPC.
