Wu Huiqiong, Wang Minxiang and Xu Xiaoming, the ambulance doctor, driver and stretcher-bearer, have been busy and feel helpless in coping with under-supplied first-aid resources. Jiao Yu’s parents grieve at the death of their 25-year-old son and decided to donate his organs. Some patients would like to spend their last days in hospices. Zhang Lijun, 26 years old, is pregnant and diagnosed with cancer. Medical rescue is a process accompanied with unforeseen events and touching stories, about miracles or tragedies. The documentary is set in hospitals and in each episode tells true stories about emergency rescue, first aid rescue, organ donation and hospice, and people at life and death moments.
