    From an entirely new perspective, Nanjing Broadcasting System has launched a major cultural documentary, "The Splendor of the Yangtze River". The documentary emphasizes the interplay between natural beauty and culture, and between history and the modern times, effectively conveying the historical facts and spirits of Yangtze River culture and inspiring a hopeful vision for the future of the Yangtze River. To better preserve the cultural memory of the Yangtze River, the creative team consulted top domestic and international experts in hydrology, geography, climate, archaeology, and history to ensure rigorous accuracy. The narrative style uses specific cultural relics to bring history to life and express it more vividly. In post-production, it strives to present the most beautiful and authentic splendor of the great river, preserving genuine and precious visual materials for contemporary Nanjing and China. “The Splendor of the Yangtze River" consists of 12 episodes, each about 30 minutes long, and focuses on major themes such as civilization, waterway network, urban development, cultural significance, the pioneering role of modernization, environmental protection, and opening up. It portrays the characteristics of Yangtze River culture, from a close relationship with the city to its long history, diversity and harmony.
