From 17 to 19 April 2023, the The Spring International Television Market (MIPTV) opened its doors at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Entrusted by the Bureau of Foreign Promotion of the State Council Information Office and the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration of Radio and Television, China International Television Corporation was responsible for organising the "China Pavilion" at the Festival, together with seven independent organisations and the Zhejiang Pavilion, with a total of 12 exhibiting companies and nearly 100 programmes.
In this year's festival, the "China Pavilion" took advantage of the "One Belt, One Road" to promote nearly 100 outstanding TV programmes to international counterparts, including documentaries such as "Great DunHuang", "Smart China", " The Land of Spirits", " A Mouthful of Sunrise", "Seeing China Along the Canal", TV series and web series such as " Monarch Industry ", "Three-Body", " Madam Xian", " Nothing But You ", " Gen Z ", , cartoons such as "The Daily Life of Vivi Cat", " Betsy The Bear Car", "Star Power Warriors", " The Tales Of Wonder Keepers", and variety shows such as "The Shining You" and "2060".
During the festival, Chinese exhibitors held business negotiations with hundreds of mainstream media organisations from France, Italy, Austria, Germany, the United States, Africa, the Middle East and other countries and regions, reaping fruitful signings and helping to expand the international market map.
The overall area of the joint booth was 139.15 square metres, with a prime location and dense visitor flow; the booth was decorated in a uniform style, with white as the main colour and a simple and atmospheric design, highlighting the China joint booth and each exhibitor's logo.
Prior to the event, the Department of International Cooperation released a preview message through its own "China Zone" new media account on YouTube and Facebook, fully promoting the joint booth and tying in with the official website of the China Pavilion online platform, reaching more than 230 countries and regions worldwide. 2.3 million subscribers in over 230 countries and regions.
