Dear guests, ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning!

First of all, I’d like to extend my warm congratulations to the opening of (the online exhibition) on behalf of National Radio and Television Administration and Minister NieChenxi, and extend my sincere welcome to the domestic and foreign guests attending the online exhibition! I truly appreciate the continuous supports of our friends from all circles!

Over the past 30 years, BIRTV has been becoming stronger, and increasingly becomes an important display and communication platform for international radio & television technology and business development. During such a special period when the pandemic spreads globally, the exhibition is unveiled online in a brand-new form. This is not only an innovative measure that deals with the effect arising from the pandemic, boosts new requirements, explores new paths and forms new drivers, but also an specific action made by the radio & television departments to ensure “six priorities” (ensure stability in employment, financial operations, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and expectations) and the stability in six areas for steady economic momentum (ensure security in job, basic living needs, operations of market entities, food and energy security, stable industrial and supply chains, and the normal functioning of primary-level governments). In recent years, the radio & television system has been deeply implementing the important instruction spirit of President Xi Jinping on “building a wise radio & television media, developing a wise radio & television network”, so as to push forward the integrated development of the media. The online exhibition is themed as “Wisdom Leading • Integration Driving •Industrial Empowerment”, and specially organizes three thematic exhibition sections, including “wise radio & television development achievements exhibition” of National Radio and Television Administration, “5G+4K/8K+AI” strategic development achievements exhibition of China Media Group, and Beijing 2020 Olympic Winter Games Science and Technology Exhibition, thus showing the latest achievements of China’s radio & television industry in driving forward the construction of wise radio & television and the integrated development of media. There are a total of 380 domestic and foreign manufacturers attending this exhibition, with the proportion of international manufacturers amounting to 38%. I believe that it will be a wonderful exhibition presenting you with a brand-new experience. Next, I’d like to share my thoughts with you in three aspects.

Firstly, strengthen the science and technology support, accelerate the construction of wise radio & television, as well as lead the industrial transformation and upgrading. Wise radio & television is an essential strategic move that promotes the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of radio & television. AI, 5G, big data, cloud computing, UHD, blockchain and other technologies are widely applied during the construction of wise radio & technology, and mark the main grippers of innovation in radio & television and the dynamic sources of iteration and upgrading. We must seize the new opportunity brought by the new round of scientific & technical revolution and industrial transformation, and speed up the innovation development in the radio & television industry, so as to enable people to enjoy richer, better and more convenient radio & television services.

Secondly, strengthen the integration driving, accelerate the building of deeply integrated new mainstream media, and expand the all-media field of opinion. We need to focus on the profound changes of dissemination pattern and public opinion ecology, deeply implement the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee of the CPC on pushing forward the media convergence towards the development in depth and breadth, and accelerate to facilitate the deep integration of radio & television and new media in information content, technological application, platform terminal and management means, thus building the radio & television media into a new wise mainstream media integrated with media culture production, wise dissemination, and targeted services, and establishing a modern all-media dissemination system founded by the content construction, supported by the advanced technologies and guaranteed by the innovative management.

Thirdly, strengthen the ecological construction and speed up the development in the audio-visual industry to empower the prevention & control of the pandemic as well as the economic and social development, nurture new opportunities and break new ground. Since the pandemic, National Radio and Television Administration and other radio & television departments roll out a series of policy documents immediately, so as to promote the new business form, new model and new consumption in the audio-visual industry, and accelerate the business cooperation, business form innovation and service upgrading between radio & television and such industries as government affairs, commerce, education, healthcare, culture and tourism. Under the normal situation of epidemic prevention and control, we need to continue to take high-tech audio-visual industry as the starting point, enhance the integrated innovation and coordinated service between radio & television and emerging networks, like mobile network and IoT. At the same time, we also need to build a new model and break new ground to promote the development of digital economy, and expand the domestic consumption.

All online guests, comrades and friends, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the CPC with President Xi Jinping as the core and under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, let’s continue to boost the high-quality and innovative development in radio, television, and network audios & videos confidently and firmly, strive to show a new style in the new era, and make new contributions!
